What is a Diabetic Alert Dog, "DAD" ?

Diabetic Alert Dogs are trained to alert diabetic owners in advance of low (hypoglycemia) or high (hyperglycemia) blood sugar events before they become dangerous. The Diabetic Alert Dog's early detection allows the handler to take the proper steps to return their blood sugar to a normal healthy range. Diabetic Alert Dogs are one more tool that a diabetic can use to care for their health. NOTE: DAD's are not a substitute for conventional diabetic medical treatment and devices.

I began The Canine Tutor, LLC in 1994, the premier private trainer in the southeast Cleveland area. I expanded the business to Canine University of Ohio in 1999, serving even a greater need for dog owners.
